What is Tibetan Yoga?

Tibetan yoga has been practiced by Indian and Tibetan yogis for centuries. It is not practiced in the same manner yoga is done in the West. It is a practice that joins mental exercises and the visualization of the chakras, which allows for spiritual and mental development. Through physical positions and movements, these poses remove negative energies from the chakras, and releases inner stress and tension.

Things to look out for

  • We do not recommend you begin practicing The Five Rites during pregnancy, unless you consult a physician or a  teacher who can adjust the poses or offer modifications 
  •   Start slow and listen to your body
  • Perform these movements on an empty stomach
  • Your systems will be highly stimulated and you may notice the effects of detoxification (headaches, body aches, nausea) which can be unpleasant, but will lessen over time
